This innovative ‘beach house’ themed kitchen follows tried and tested styling methods. We wanted to offer simplicity in the design, but we also introduced some modern features into the traditional kitchen just to give a few surprises! These included dovetailed wooden drawer boxes, walnut veneers for the boat island unit, and a sink neatly arranged to replicate the cockpit of a boat.

What We Did

This kitchen features walnut worktops inlaid with cork, wood flooring, high-gloss doors, and a specially constructed boat-themed central island unit complete with mast, rigging, and shelving.

When I was referred to Ashgrove it was refreshing to hear that they were a local firm within Devon with local builders and for the most part all their stock on site. I wasn’t just going for something standard like a shaker kitchen in beautiful sage green but we got there and I am really, really happy with it. I haven’t met anybody yet that has walked into it and not really loved the way it has all fitted together.
