Sally & Andrew's old kitchen was quite dark, old fashioned and cold, just a sad place to walk into and work in. Sally's ideas for the kitchen design came from magazines and online. Our designer, Jason, just listened to everything the couple wanted and transformed the space into what they have now.
Sally did have a list of wants and needs which included an American fridge freezer. They had no idea where it would go but Jason incorporated it into a cupboard unit with pull out drawers, a wine rack and storage - which was perfect for the couple.

What We Did
The kitchen boasts a traditional shaker style door, spray finished in Mussel with complimenting Harrington D-handles. Sally wanted the cupboards to have a wipeable smooth surface being a kitchen working area. The colour works very well.
The worktop is granite in steel grey which was chosen to match the AGA which had already been ordered. We also built a custom made chimney breast for the AGA.
Features also include a beautiful breakfast bar with bookshelves and a bench seat, where the couple can enjoy the views or read a book. We included a new pantry with automatic lights, as well as a spice rack, wine rack and pull out drawers.
Appliances included a single oven and combi microwave, induction hob and Minerva boiling tap.
The flooring is three different sizes of tiles. Pale in colour but which flow all the way through into the dining room.
Lasting Thoughts
"Ashgrove were very good from the moment we got in touch with them and Jason came out. We had visits to the showroom in Crediton and we were sent a schedule of works. They communicated well and involved us in the whole process. It was brilliant.
Overall, the experience with Ashgrove was very good and the end result has been stunning and that is the important thing.
