Stunning Views in Budleigh

The project involved opening up the kitchen, dining, and living areas, along with a full renovation of all three bedrooms, the bathroom, and the shower room. Originally, the flat had a separate kitchen, but a non-structural wall was removed to create a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. The kitchen features sleek, contemporary high-gloss cabinetry in Horizon White, complemented by a matching Gola rail. Debbie took the lead on key design choices, selecting the work surfaces, splashbacks, and high-gloss white cabinets. Budleigh is renowned for its striking red sandstone cliffs, and—perhaps unknowingly—the couple chose work surface tones that beautifully reflect the area’s natural aesthetics. Debbie had always envisioned an island, so a custom design was created, featuring a worktop with rounded corners to seamlessly blend with the room’s style. The worktop is made from Neolith, a revolutionary sintered stone composed of natural materials, similar to quartz, and renowned for its durability. Key features include a stunning central island with a breakfast bar, under-cabinet lighting, and a pull-out pantry. The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances, including a double oven, combi microwave, induction hob, and a Minerva boiling tap for instant hot water. In the living area, a built-in fireplace was added, complemented by stylish shelving and soft, ambient lighting. The master bedroom underwent thoughtful modifications, with one wardrobe reduced in size and another custom-built. The new wardrobe features a sleek, three-door sliding design with a mirrored finish. The bathrooms were upgraded with built-in furniture, and the walls were designed to coordinate seamlessly with the splashbacks. Throughout the home, all doors, ceilings, and walls were completely renewed, ensuring a fresh, modern finish.
