A Farm House delight at Frogmore

Valerie and Glenn live at Frogmore Farm. They bought the farm house a couple of years ago and knew it needed some updating. They were recommended to Ashgrove to do something special for them.
The farm house is in a fantastic location surrounded by green fields. The kitchen as a farm house kitchen is very spacious and has a large pantry. They needed us to update the kitchen keeping the farm house look and incorporate the pantry in the design. It also needed to be lifted in terms of the colour, something bright and light that would go with greenery that surrounded the house. They also had a number of bathrooms to be updated. So we set to work.

What We Did
We installed a blue/grey hand painted traditional shaker kitchen door to match the pantry. Worktops were quartz and the colour was chosen to complement the cabinetry.
Valerie and Glenn had a beautiful oak table which they wanted have in the kitchen. So, we needed to tie the spaces together. This is one of the reasons for choosing the oak knobs for the cupboards and Peter our designer suggested floating oak shelves as a feature. We also made a piece of furniture which had a beautiful oak top tying things together. For future proofing we installed high-level ovens for Valerie – in her words ‘so I don’t have to lift a turkey off the floor’; they decided to go for the NEFF Hide n Slide ovens.
We also updated all the existing bathrooms and installed a new ensuite bathroom in the main guest room. Some lovely features included recycled glass tiles which added a beautiful reflective light to the rooms. All the bathrooms were installed in the same colour scheme – a midnight blue cupboard with white suites. The utility included a large sink, space for laundry facilities and a big fridge/freezer.
